Why do we kill people who kill people to show people that killing people is bad?

if you kill a man who lights his people on fire and lets them burn or you kill a man who prides himself in wiping out a race i think there is grounds to kill. I think it really boils down to kill a few to save a few more. defend the weak.. etc
chances are though .. you understand the concept :)

hahahahaha.
Personally, I'd rather let someone rot in prison than give them the death penalty...death penalty is the easy way out for them...

Ask yourself, "How would you feel if someone murdered the one you love for no reason?" Would the death penalty be justified?
What should we do to people who recruit suicide bombers and get them to kill innocent children, women and men? The Lockerbe bomber was released from Britain and returned to Libya to a hero's welcome. The bomber was responsible for the death of over two hundred people. Should we allow such people the freedom to kill more innocent people?
What about murders who continue to kill in prison?
Do you not owe it to your children to make society safer?
How will you find peace if you become a victim?

I'd rather have my taxes pay for a lethal injection or a bullet than to pay for a lifetime of free medical, dental and food for this fuckers

Clearly you haven't been there. My last wife was murdered, and her killer is still behind bars. He has spent the last 29 years having people control his life, what he eats, what hours he keeps, what he is allowed to do: perfect. His independence is a memory, his wife visits when she feels like it, he owns nothing. Perfect. His life, in fact, is a living hell. Perfect. Kill him? No chance. Pay for his keep? Why not? He is providing jobs for guys who are nearly as sick as he is. Perfect.

i had a friend who was murdered by her ex a few weeks before christmas. she was 19. we went to school together. the guy that killed her also went to the same school. one of those real small town schools. graduating class of like 70 people. that was in 1999 and i still think about her daily. and of course he's in jail but i can't say that makes it any better really. and neither would it be if he had been put to death. she's still gone either way.
