Simple.

Pop the hood.

Look directly to the LEFT of the driverside headlight assy., and you will see a small WHITE circle. Inside that is a "+" shape for a #3 Phillips Screwdriver. You turn clockwise and counter clockwise to make the necessary adjustments.
The passenger side adjuster is the same exact looking part, directly to the RIGHT of the headlight assy.

Remember to adjust each headlight EQUAL amounts!

US spec cars beam cut off, will be slightly HIGHER on the passenger side, to light up street signs, miles markers, etc. being as we drive on the right hand side of the road.

Well after lowering or lifting a car or truck, the headlights will not be aimed correctly anymore. Since we dont have an auto-leveling system like some other car manufactures, you need to adjust them manually as to be safe to oncoming drivers, and so you can see the road properly.

I have played with mine a few times to get them just right after lowering the Yaris, and installing my HIDs.

My situation is a little different, I tried making adjustments coz the light distance is kinda short but now I think I've over done it. How do you return back to the original factory settings? Is there a general rule of thumb if we shoot the light to the wall, how high does it has to be from ground level? thanks.

:eek: You mean you didnt keep count and write it down somewhere?

You could keep playing with the adjuster until you get it "close," but I think in your case you might be better off heading to the dealer.

Cool Chris, I am installing HID in mine so I needed to know if there's a way to adjust it, and I couldn't find it. I had to do the same thing for my Acura RSX-S, after you put HID in, they are usually off.

By the way, I work in Mt. Laurel, NJ, where in NJ you hail from?

There is only up / down adjustment.

Im at the Shore, but work up in Linden.. so Im pretty much all over Jersey. :smile:

It's too bad, the main concern for most is PRICE. Do your homework, and see what is actually a good kit from a POS cheapo kit. Talk is cheap.

I am going to buy Philips 4300K, and that's what I have in my Acura RSX-S. Yes, I've done my technical homework on HID.:thumbsup:

Perhaps you could help me about 2 things:

1. In my Acura, I put the ballast underneath the headlight housing by removing the bumper (very easy). Where did you put your ballast for your Yaris or recommend?

2. Is there ANY "clip" "adapter" to customize to fit the H4 HID bulb in to fit in the housing? (My Acura did so I am asking)

Who did I email them to last week then???? :confused:

Double sided sticky pads and zip ties included in the kits.

Its rock solid in these locations. The sticky pads help cusion the completely sealed waterproof ballasts, while being held in place with the zip ties. :cool:

Metal ballast brackets come with the kit, if you choose to mout yours elsewhere.

I dont think Im going to do all that paper stuff,I dont see why they need to be that accurate.I adjusted mine behind a wal-Mart,it was maybe 25 feet away,but I think I got them close enough,I have mine even,i dont go for that right side needs to be higher bs.

On the sedan it's an 8mm nut that you have to tighter/loosen to adjust. :)
