Moving the Ignition To The Left?

OK, this is for you big brains out there...

A lady I know has a Yaris sedan and due to physical limitations she has a hard time starting the car with the current location of the ignition. It would be considerably easier if the ignition could be moved to the left side of the steering wheel instead of the right, but is this even possible?

I don't know if she would be willing to do any major modifications to her Yaris but if this was possible she may just consider it. I just don't know if it is even feasible to move the ignition switch from one side of the steering wheel to the other. Does anyone know?

A new ignition switch can be placed somewhere on the left side, but the steering wheel lock is a different matter.

I suppose you could remove the wheel lock, I have never tried though. It should be easy enough to get an aftermarket ignition cylinder to embed in the dash on the left
