Fellow yarisworld members,

I'm from the Philippines i own a Extreme black Vios/Yaris Sedan and i need help in my newly installed ducktail. Its fiberglass molded form the XX limited edition grade vios/yaris ducktail. After purchasing the ducktail from a local store, i had it body colored in a auto paint shop. After installing the ducktail, i noticed that the fit of the ducktail isn't perfect! There is a gap in both ends of the ducktail! What can i do to solve this problem! It really bothers me everytime i look at it. I want it look perfect :frown:

As you can see from this angle it looks fine

But when we look at the sides,

I need your help fellow yarisworld members! :frown:

Go to autozone and get some 3M emblem glue a little of that stuff goes a long way

Please take a picture of the underside of the wing.
I assume it's a knock-off of the real wing?

Hey. I'm assuming everything is held on by double-sided tape. So, get some masking tape, put it on the sides and mark both edges with a marker. This will be used as a guide point in the next few steps. Now, remove the spoiler and get rid of that extra thick tape. Go to an auto store or a hardware store, and buy some extra strength double-sided tape that's relatively thin. Next, slap that onto the spoiler and reattach the spoiler using those guide markings you made earlier.

the problem here is that the wing's fit isn't perfect that's why that gap is visible. i don't want to spend again on buying a new wing just to have that "perfect fit". what can i do?

i think what kaotic is saying is some thinner double sided tape might help close that gap a little.

yes i get what kaotic is trying to say. But my dilemma is that the wing itself is the one causing that gap. not the tape. on the left side of the wing, a part of the tape does'nt even get to stick on the car's body because the fit of the wing isn't flat perfect. what do i do? Do i need bend the wing somehow?

oh... i c. you could try sanding it down on the bottom side so it sits more flush. perhaps.

^^ sorry wasnt paying attention to where the OP lived lol as far as it not fitting if it were abs you could try heating it but since its FC I would go with what Frownonfun said try sanding it
