although i don't like that they were slammin the yaris it looks as though that ss was pretty much kickin ass. don't know what year that is cause i'm no cobalt expert but it's got to have anywhere from 170 to 260hp. don't know if i'd want to line up with one of those unless i'd had an engine swap.

That Cobalt SS is a 08 or 09 sedan turbo charged with an ECU reflash and tune. It make 300 whp. At the start of the race the other guy was messing around with him then just punched it

Cobalt SS starts at 260HP it says. Definitely a poor match up it's in the price bracket of the evo / wrx sti.

"Well it isnt fully gutted, just the rear, still has door panels, dash, AC, radio, etc, etc. Not really setup for the strip, but I did ok. "

meh I hate Cobalts... seems like (around here any way) every time I meet someone with a tricked out Cobalt they are a douche bag. It's like the Cavalier of the 00s...

I was eating this up too. He makes excuses when he gets stomped by a car way above his league and then posts 15 videos of him stomping on cars that are below his league.

The LNF balts are fast , i own Gatewayecotec here in st.louis its a local cobalt/ion/cavy forum......My friend Ryan who owns P&P tuning here in the STL has the highest whp numbers on an LNF in the U.S. on record uncorrected @299whp on 21.5psi with just a tune only, the highest LNF was 307whp corrected on 24psi with a tune only!!!! That sedan isnt really much, we have some of the craziest cavys and cobalts around here in Missouri, Brian from KC, MO was just in Modified if some of you read the readers rides last month car ran a 12.6@118, he owns the STCR LSJ Balt that was in there. Brandon a guy here, his Cavy went 11.3@137mph with 3rd gear barley working. Ughhh i love Ecotecs, i miss mine so much....But i love my Yaris. Oh BTW the Cobalt ss/tc beat out the new M3 on the Ring :), its faster in a straight line for only 200 bucks and in the twisties stock.:wink: Couple of meet pics and my baby on slicks, hehe i made a joke of LNFs :)

ahh i wouldnt sweat it, it was just a cobalt... id love to run into one of those turbo ones on the street.. thing is i guess the big wing and diamond star emblem usually scares them away.
