Okay i traded for some seats today and had the ambition to install one. Luckily these seats are bottom mount and they came with universal brackets that actually fit on the OEM sliders. So i mounted the seat directly to the bracket and mounted the bracket directly to the sliders :) pretty easy install :)
I have that black thing I'm guessing maybe its the weight check thing? seems to be magnitized whatever it is.
other than that thing the rest was a breeze.
here are the pics!
I plan to do the other seat tomorrow
I think I might re do the fabric on the front doors in red to match. idk yet though

the guard on the side that covers the slider and stuff is just zip tied in place. works pretty slick though :)

BTW these are NRG Seats.
I had to drill two holes in the bottom of the actual seat frame to put two bolts becuase brackets that i got with the seats didnt actually go to these seats. they were universals though. so two bolts and two holes and that was about it.

so these are kinda OEM fit? Im new to the idea of seats, anything special about yours to be more OEM fit? Brand and line?

NRG seats. like i posted i just had to drill two holes to fit them to the brackets. but the brackets fit on the sliders well and they are a great height and feel. i'm happy

The installation is so clean it could have come from the factory. Nice job!

i dont think they are any lower. they probably technically sit higher but the seats arent as thick so the driver sits at the same height.

The red definitely contrasts the blue but if you do some more work to make the red feel more at home in your interior I think it can be a good contrast. Kinda like a two-tone thing going on.

My vote:
Change the seat color. Keep everything else the same.

probably the same exact red as the seats
and find a custom seat cover for the rear.
idk yet
nice seat !! great contrast..
I would change the door panel with a black vinyl to match the rear plastic panel and ditch the rear seats.....that's actually my plan on my red car :P , and make a custom flat floor for the whole rear area.

yeah i kinda year you on the color. but i dont forsee having the funds for other seats.. nor would i probably have the change to trade someone for other bottom mounting seats that are blue.

So what are your thoughts on this concept?
The way the seats are made it would be extrememly easy for me to get the blue on the seats in the middle

i just tucked in the fabric to see what it looked like

I say go for it if you're going all the way with the blue. Red/blue (especially when both are so bright) just don't look right to me. There's just too much contrast going on IMHO.

i might just mod the other one then sell them as a direct fit set :)
then get the color i want :)

okay. well i've decided to sell the seats and get some blue ones :)
so these will be direct fit . i'll even leave the brackets on there . so you'll just have to pull your seats off the brackets and put the new ones on :)
i'll post a link for the thread. i think someone with a black or red car would get the best use out of these :)

+1 on that... what color blue are you going with? I would think a dark blue would look alot better than a light blue IMO.
TinyGiant
