I had this problem. I recently had my rear window replaced, but before I did that, I noticed that the person who installed the tint damaged one of the lines close to the top.

After the window was replaced I have not experienced this any more.

Check every single line to make sure it is not damaged AT ALL.

Cause if it is, then that causes the interference. And if its not damaged, then it could be a bad connection between the defroster and the car, or the antenna and the car.

I really dislike this 2007 Yaris, so many problems everyone is finding with it.

The radio "antenna" in our sedans is in the rear window with the defrost lines so it's probably shorting it out there.

This should be moved into the general, so everyone can see it.

I don't think its audio related, its just the effect of whatever is wrong is messing up the audio, and no one here other then me, so far has chimed in with a valid(unfortunately at my expense) fix.

i notice that it happens durin the cold season.
It would sometimes be fine in the winter.. then after a couple mins it will get static-eee.
I have turned it on durin the summer season it its fine...

It should do it any time.

But mine did the exact same thing. Like I said, mine had a small amount of damage to one of the lines close to the top..

Most likely that caused the problem, and the interference? maybe its not grounding properly and something is going on? Who knows, but like I said, I got a new rear window, and no more problem thank god! One problem down, a bunch more to go :(
