Hi there, I had a remote starter put in, and now the rear Brake Lights blink instead of the amber Parking Lights (like factory remote entry). The installer said that he couldn't hook them up to the Parking Lights as he thought it may be in the car's computer.

Is this guy being straight or he just didn't want to bother? Is there a way to make the remote starter activate the Parking Lights vice the Brake Lights.

The remote starter is a Clifford. Thanks. Chrsto4.

He probably did it because the easy place to grab the parking lights requires a positive instead of negative pulse. My Ultrastart didn't have switchable outputs like most of the DEIs do, so I had to add a relay to allow the remote starter to flash them.

There actually is a connection between the ECM and the T-LP relay coil (which switches power to the tails), but it is only used on cars with remote keyless entry.
