I have squeek coming from the rear brakes when i release my pedal any ideas:iono:

has it been raining lately? my brakes squeak when they are wet.

Need more information. Are you moving or at a stop? Is it a chirp or a long squeek? etc...

the brake pedal sqeeks from the back of the car when i release the pedal moving stopped the only time it doe not sqeek is when the parking brake is engaged thanks

Does it make the same sound if you take the e-brake and lift it up and down fast/all the way pretty much(dont force it).

If so its two things: Its an indicator to tell you your shoes may be worn down.

But most of all, your drums need to be cleaned, and the star wheel needs to be clicked about 3-11 times to adjust the spacing of the shoes against the drum.

Then the noise should go away, but remember you probably need new brake shoes as well.
