I'm installing the Viper 3002 Model alarm on my '09 Yaris.

I want the hazard light to flash when the alarm is armed/disarmed instead of the parking lights. I plan to connect the 10 A parking light flash output (H1/11 WHITE) to the Hazard Warning Signal Switch wire (17[4S] BLACK) instead of to the parking lights.

In some alarm the parking light is still on for 30 seconds after the initial flash when disarmed. I don't want to be driving around with my hazard lights on. Does know if the Viper alarm only flashes when armed/disarmed? Or if the light is on for 30 seconds after the flash?

Thanks for any input!

if i remember correctly, the hazard light switch, has 3 wires on it, dont remember color besides an obvious ground, probably white/red/black. I was lazy and went to tap into the hazards from there, one of the lines blew a fuse, then went to another and oddly enough it flashes my parkling lights...dont know why. 1 thing to note is i have 2 wires for (turn signal input) and left and right, i just tapped in 1 of those.

Just by the bye, I've never seen anyone pay any attention to a car alarm going off. (Except maybe to fuss about the noise and wish somebody'd turn the thing off.)
