I shot and killed my 350th Whitetail Buck ( 9 point 205 lbs ) this morning at 09:05 EST .
If anybody ever wondered why I don't post a lot from Sept-January , Its b/c 95 % of my time during this period is spent hunting or taking a client hunting .
Don't , I wont post any bloody pics or any dead animals pics .

Impressive, how many years did that take?
And ditto on sharing the venison... I could eat a deer's worth of summer sausage and jerky myself

as long as you aren't being a puss and using a deer blind and feeder then congrats.

Whats wrong with that? Who actually wants to "hunt" a deer. I'd rather have them blind folded and led to me in a line where I can bash em over the head with a hammer ;)

Real hunters chase their prey down on foot, wrestle them to the ground by the antlers and rip out their throats with their teeth. Nothing sporting about guns...

^^my money is still on the bear if the human had a 9mm
anyways, as long as your all legal like, and helping control populations, AND getting venison out of it, I don't care how you hunt.

i don't know about all that. i'm not into guns in the least bit and not a fan of hunting either but to say it's not sport unless you are taking on a wild animal with your bare hands is a little silly. i think someone is either kidding or has never been up close to a deer.

Thanks everyone .
For the record , when I hunt , it is 1000 % fair chase . Thats is , NO feeders , No blinds , NO fences . I hunt in the swamp . The swamp is so thick that it is impossible to use a bow . I do however have food plots for all wildlife to eat , but there is absolutely no hunting within 400 meters of the food plots ( My swamp , my rules and I enforce diligently read : HTM WILL pop a cap in yo A$$) . For this particular deer , I had to swim through the creek and crawl on my belly through the mud to get my shot .
PK , I use a 7 x 57 Mauser ( Custom made by Frank Jordan ) . I use Federal partition bullets ( 140 gr)
For the record , I have killed 1 deer with a knife only . This was when I was in my 20's . I received broken wrist , 2 rib fractures and a punctured lung for my stupidity .
There used to be wild boars , coyotes and beavers in my swamp . I wiped them all out . Boars and coyotes are not native to SC , so I wiped them all out . Beaver are on the verge of extinction in my swamp . Yeah I know , beavers are cute and furry , but if they cost you $ 50,000 , you would more than likely do what I'm doing .
Saturday , Nov. 7 , hopefully will be # 351 .......

Neither... I think that it's still too easy for the wrong people to get their hands on firearms just like their are people with drivers' licenses who shouldn't be on the road. Shoot away if you're legit...

So, does that mean you're going to come off of some meat? lol
I think you should. I'll pay for shipping and your time lol
PS - You're nuts for taking that sucker down with a knife, but you are my new hero.

SC has quotas , 2 bucks a day from Aug 15 to Jan 1 .
The Rifle is a blend of both old and modern . An 1893 Mauser action mated to a Manley Custom barrel . The stock is made from walnut from the farm . It has been glass bedded . It shoots sub MOA and has done so for 29 years . I have owned this rifle since I was 14 . It was made for me .
And yes I do eat the venison . My Granny always gets the first one of the year . I donate a lot of meat to shelters , processed venison of course .
