I work at GameStop and last night was epic. We did not get the line done till almost 2 a.m. and I got home about 3 and just got up to go to school today. I played a few games last night and it was great can wait to start unlocking stuff for multyplayer.:thumbup:

Well the graphics are better for multiplayer on ODST, and I have the money to buy it. Also, there are maps you can't buy, that are on the ODST multiplayer disk.

Last shooter I tried was Resistance: fall of man...seems like I made it down a street to the square, in a building, and that's it...for about 20 times! :mad:

Glad ebay's there to get some of my lost money back. :redface:

WOW just WOW is all i can say about this game. i picked this up last night after work from the local game stop and walked into a mob of about 25 people all there for MW2. ps3 version sold out for the nmext 2 weeks and 360 only had a few non pre sells yet. this game TOTALLY blows away ANY other cod games or shooters IMO....

I'm a guy that had 2 Xboxes :thumbdown: and 2 x360s :thumbdown: before I got sick of the constant error messages, picture freezing and rings of death before I wised up and bought what my friend had, my first Sony console [PS3] ...got tired of watching him have absolutely zero issues with his PS3 and him razzing me about having so many problems with my microsoft products.

I play my xbox 360 on my home theater setup (10 ft.) :cool:

Yes but your resolution is horrible...All you have to do is look at the game at 2560x1600 and you see what iam talking about...1920x1200 on a 40+" tv looks crappy to me...the resolution is not high enough for such a huge tv...

Oh true that. I imagine one of those people with hardcore PC's. But I'd rather stick to a controller and a headset to talk trash, lol. Playing with a mouse and keyboard isn't my style.

They make headsets for PC. I'm pretty sure if it was 1000 vs me and I had the mouse and they had controllers, I would win. Once you get good at mouse and keyboard, controllers make you want to die they are so slow, which is why I never got into FPS's on console. That and my xbox is sitting in a pile of dead xboxes at my friends house.

Lol, dang, I must not be a hardcore gamer. I've had my xbox since it was released. I'm too poor to get those gamer PC's that is $2000+. :( Also, on PC's there is always hackers like myself. No fun.

LOL. The REASON I have the money is BECAUSE I analyze the positives and negatives.

The whole "Buy everything you want and finance your house two and three times over to do it" mentality is why we are in a recession.

I got the big boxed one that came with NVG's. Have only had a chance to play the first 4 levels or so.

I heard the NVG's can see up to 50 feet. :) Also, if you don't want them anymore, I'll buy, depending on where you live that is...You could always buy a male fake head and put the NVG's on him to make it a decorative item in your room/office. :) I think the package you got was prestige edition or something.

BTW, that game felt a lot shorter than the first one. Also, with that ending there has to be another one. So, I guess I got to wait for that now.

Rockland, I tried joining a couple of your games it didn't let me so I went to a buddie's party to wait. When that game was done, you were off line.

Initial Reviews: (XBox360)

1)Maybe it's the most recent update to Xboxlive, their symbol for Parties and their symbol for joining games is mixed up at least for MW2. There were many occasions where I thought I could hop in, but clicked their profile to only be disappointed with only the option to join their party and not the person's current game of MW2.
2) I'm sure it's the great amount of members playing the new release but I had trouble joining friends' games. Usually got the "server busy" message.
3) ("Flood a room": means breaking your group up into half so that one half can find an empty room and the other half quickly joins the same game. Flooding allows you to take over a room and still earn points on the scoreboard You could do private matches but then you don't earn the points. Points are important for leveling up in the multiplayer game.) We had a hard time flooding rooms, could have just been the sheer great numbers of people playing.

Multiplayer:

1) I believe all the hype is true! Great gaphics, great sound (I use 5.1 headphones), great revision of the scoring system.
2) Actually seems easier to perform the act of pointing and shooting, definitely a more crisp and exact feel (compared to COD4-MW1 and COD5-WaW).
3)Definitely a better and improved perk system! You can actually get better at things when you keep using them-- each perk has stages of effectiveness). New system also offers a wider range of combinations to fit your playing style. HAH! I can run forever now!
4) Arcade style scoring is fun.
5) Annoyance: Screen gets bloody as you get hurt more and more. The blood infringes on your sight. They could have toned down the blood and just make your screen a shade of red.
6)No zombies levels -substituted by a 2 player stage shooting. (haven't played it much not too excited about it)
7)You can pick your kill streak prizes now! There are rewards for 3 kill streak up to 25-small nuclear bomb that ends the game, lol. -- earn them by leveling, and pick three.

The campaign...

..is interesting.
2) Felt short.
3) Story line is out there! Not Aliens and big foot conspiracy, but it's out there like "24" type conspiracies.
4)Finished it already.
5) It was good, but left me wanting more.

If you're a shooter fan, this was one of the games you were waiting for. It seems like the development has shifted. Before, they made games and the games also had multiplayers for online. Now at least for MW2, it seemed that they wanted to make sure they got the multiplayer right.

I dont plan on instantly buying it still. I take it a game at a time. Playing Borderlands still at the moment and then of course always jumping back to Halo 3.

Great game but who ever the weapons technical adviser was is stupid. There are so many weapon related mistakes in the campaign.

Holy Crap, I love this game. :)

Though, on XBL, I have a total of 8 kills....... and i've died 75 times :(
I played maps that I didnt even have a chance to explore. I was killed more times within looking distance of my spawning points than anything :(

Is there an easy version? Like a bunny slope for skiing. I would like to fully explore at least one map lol.

Set up a private match, and give yourself a 30 minute time limit - then you can take your time and explore each map alone and just scope things out :) That's what I do with every map ... so that I can learn the layout, and check out the awesome detail. You'll notice in the basement of Estate, next to the pool table against the wall there is a little cubby with a bench seat on it. On top of that is a storage area that has a blow up doll ... I about died when I saw that, it was hilarious :) They put a LOT of detail into these maps!
