Looks really good. Only thing about painted alluminum verses solid black plastic is they tend to chip off over time from road debri etc and then it looks really cheap. You have to touch it up once every couple of months.
What i do is just spray some of the black paint on a q tip and just dab it over the areas where the paint has come off so that way you dont have to take the entire grill off and keep repainting it.
But otherwise looks really good.

can you show a close up of the lower grill? It looks like it has trim around it.
Very nicely done! I bet the top took a lot of time!

You should work with Garm (cali yaris) to make some more and sell them in the States! I'd be down for buying one.

Thats the same stuff you buy at home depot. its like .56 a foot or something like that. You can usually cut it yourself with some really sharp scissors or tin snips.

I think that mesh spacing is tighter than what you get at Home Depot. Plus he did an excellent job of forming the mesh to the grill opening so that it's not just a flat piece layed in behind it.

i noticed your lower grill does not have any post running back and forth, did you cut them off to make the bottom look open or does your bumpers not have them?
example:

my bottom grill has those posts running back and forth, yours is open

Mine is open, with some mesh installed. Cut that grill out of there:
