Hi all,
I'm still very headache & confuse of which of the above is worth the investment?
Can anyone give some advise which is more practical for me to get? :smoking: Below are my points of view/reason to change either of the above parts.
- I love leather steering wheel, the touch of it make me feel i'm driving a "high-end" car.
- I love the JDM rear Vitz RS bumper as because it look so "JDM" since my ride already have the rear jdm tail lamp.
- I love the additional rear foglamp on the bumper, so i can make the connection in a way that when i apply brake, the bumper foglamp will turn on.
- As my ride already have the original full bodykit from Toyota. I'm wondering will my ride look out-of-propotion/funny if i were to use ONLY the rear jdm vitz rs bumper without any lower bumper lip/skirt.
P.S. Both items price different is not more than 100USD. So let us put aside the money issue. All feedbacks pls post...
The first 3 pictures are my current ride...

Welcome to YW!
Rear bumper FTW, especially for that price. But the steering wheel would be nice as well.

In Canada the rs model comes with a leather steering wheel...also I just ordered my jdm bumper cover as well to match my l.e.d. tail lights. So go for the bumper! I believe the bumper just comes with reflectors not lights so they wont light up when you brake.

The foglights are in the bumper IMHO, so they can be wired to stoplights.
Go for the bumper!

Thanks for the response mates!! 3 votes on the jdm RS bumper!!:headbang:
Oh, regarding the reflector(some called it rear foglamp)of the bumper, the stock JDM Vitz RS or USDM Yaris TS all came standard as no-bulb reflector.
According to my local supplier, there is 2 different parts number for the reflector. One is "dummy" reflector(Stock) where another one came with socket for bulb connection(Optional).

Hi there,
Just wondering which supplier you went to for the rear fog?
Address of the supplier?

I say go for the steering wheel. You use that everyday and a little touch of leather is nice. By the way, what lip kit do you have on?

Is it just a leather wheel? Or does it have the audio controls too??
I like your kit the way it is now, and really don't like the reflectors in the bumpers(on any car, but the yaris is the worst IMO). Your back end looks sleek and streamline, the new bumper will kill it.

By the way, evo165, your car is very nice with or without the RS rear bumper.

I would say just go for the bumper right now and get the steering wheel later if it means that much to you. The apperance of a vehicle from the out side always makes a bolder statemnt I think. I do have to admit the leather wheel is nice though. I got mine with the US "S" package which was cool. But I would have to say ultimately its up to you which one you would desire most 1st, cause you know you're probly gonna get both anyway.

Hi all! Thank you all so much for the opinions & advises. :headbang:
Have decided to put on hold for the JDM rear bumper until i can find a suitable lower lip to go with my current side skirt & frt bumper lip. I feel it feel kind of weird too if i just OPT for the rear JDM bumper without any low lip with it.
For current lower lips/body kit, in Japan they call it Style Package A.
Till i find a suitable lower lip for the rear JDM bumper, if not i will go for the leather steering wheel first.
Thanks guys for the nice compliments on my Vitz. Oh, i meant Yaris...!!

I say get the wheel, I mean that's what you're going to be looking at/touching all the time, so might as well go with the feel that you like. Also your kit looks very nice as is.

I say bumper, because everyone can see the bumper but not everyone can see the wheel. nice car btw

i dont know if you made your decision, but consider getting a different back bumper, the jdm one isnt too good, you need to get the reflectors and the brace. and it doesnt look that cool in the end

Thanks once again for the compliment on my YaVitz, guys!! Those compliments make me feel proud to own a Yaris!
TheRealEnth, yup i'll need to get a pair of reflectors as well as a pair of number plate lamp. As for the brace, i don't think any asia/my Yaris have the "extended" brace like the USDM.
I still can't seem to find a good deal for the lower lips for the JDM bumper. As for the leather steering wheel, Japan is out of stock. :iono:
For now, i'm awaiting the Tokico Blue from Garm, a chrismas present for my YaVits!!

The leather wheel is a huge inmprovement over the hard plastic. AS someone else said, you touch the wheel more than any other part of the car, so it is worth spendign a bit of $$ on. I've had my leather wheel for almost a year now, and I still find myself noticing how much more I like the feel.

Wouldn't the rear bumper cost more with the cost of reflectors, brace, lip, and paint?

Leather wheel sure touch & feel greater than the bumper itself. In the first place, i think of converting the jdm bumper to have the JDM vitz RS look. Now i think it again, hack! How many people on the road can tell if mine is Yaris or JDM Vitz RS unless those people on the road know sure know how to tell the different.
My calculation doesn't include any paint work and lower lip on my first post. For any JDM bumper, there're actually "factory" painted bumper, so i just need to give my colour code to supplier and they will just work it out for me. But than again, think i will not commit myself now or in future to the JDM bumper due to the fact i won't be able to enjoy it while driving in my car. hee!!

I have my car right now with the standard front bumper and JDM rear bumper. I used to have a Kenstyle lip kit before but removed it. Hope this can give you some ideas:

Personally, I think it is better without side skirts. Or, you need to add a lip to the rear bumper too, so that the bottom of the body flows well together
As for the steering wheel, why not get an aftermarket steering wheel? This way, you can add spacers to bring it closer, which is a much more comfortable driving position (no need to bend your legs so much)
