7. Prepared: Per the PAC the following new listings, effective immediately upon publication, are added:
Toyota Yaris EP
We wrote in asking for the Yaris to be classed in GP. With the limited prep rules in GP it looked like a relatively inexpensive build, that would result in a fun car.
In EP the cost to prep the car would be more than the car. Looks like we will pass on this project. :frown:

The Yaris was not classed in any Prep class before this FasTrack. You might be confused with Street Prep.

cantilevered slicks, clearance'd fenders, turbo, coilovers, stripped interior, sounds like a great Prep class to me!

No turbo in EP, that would take you to XP.

A Yaris could potentially compete in EP. I wonder if you could get the weight down to 1500 pounds?

Well I am sure that we could get the Yaris down to 1700lbs or so, but racing on milk crates really isnt too comfortable.

My feeble recollections of Prepared class rules has me thinking that you can remove all the glass... and I think even replace body panels, it just has to sort of look like the car when you're done. 1500 pounds might be a challenge, but I'm not sure it's impossible.
Comfort? A car that you only spend ~45 seconds at a time in doesn't need to be comfortable!
