Why would anyone start a race in those conditions. Visability would have been next to nothing.

Really sorry for the guy.

However, racing is racing. If we stopped racing because of a bit of rain, we would have never gotten any racing done. Besides, I saw rain as an antidote for the lack of power in my car, and it worked well. Sports car racing ain't NASCAR!
