He is not available. The design, since he created it while employed by DynaTek, belongs to them. He no longer works there.

Hey garm what up with your fab guy ??? I was think of getting a cheap Dme header fo an xA like then cutting off the bottom flange but leave about 3"+ of piping on it , then add like 3 feet of pipe to the header , and weld the end flange back on . It would probaly need a slip section in the middle and a least one flex section too . I could see a rough version of this being made for 300-400 in parts and labor but CAN be done .

The gains were pretty good from this, I'll see if i can tack something up to recreate it when i get moved into my new place.

I wonder if I could take that pic into a reputable exhaust shop and have them fab something up for my car.

^^ i think the easiest way would be to get a cheap dme Xa header off ebay for like 100 cut it in half and add 2' of pipe in-between the runners and collector . You'd also have to have a section of pipe w/ or w/o resonators or cat to connect to the axle back .

Don't worry, Garm. I'm on it. I'm buying some dryer exhaust pipe right now.

Would that beat the DC Sports header? And if yes, why?

Yes. I believe the longer runners balance out the flow of exhaust gasses better. IIRC they hit 127 WHP NA on their test yaris with this header + intake manifold they were developing.

I believe they also had a NST 10% underdrive pulley kit to compliment this setup.

I actually was down to try this one, but gave up after only finding one shop that would even want to try.

Best thing to do would be to buy the cheapo header from Ebay, use it as a platform for the exhaust manifold flange and runners, extend those runners at equal length to a collector, then run it through a custom exhaust. I believe the net pickup was something like 10whp on Holdeners car.

EDIT: Make sure that you save the O2 sensor screw in point from the aftermarket header, because it will need to be welded in for the new one.

I see it being done for about $300 after the purchase of a cheapo header.

I no longer trust or believe those numbers. The guy did disappear and steal the files from the company, after all.

oh yeah... and then he blew up the motor at low boost.
