I like the DSLR-A350 better. That price used, even Canadian, seems a bit high.

the price is so-so.

55-200 is a nice lens, THOUGH, it does F3.5-5.6 aperture sizes. That's not something i would aim for unless you shoot mostly outside or in a well lighted room.

Btw, sony lens have a really slow auto-focus.

stay away from Sony they make some good stuff but cameras are not their strong side. Nikon/Canon/Olympus are your friends. Panasonic is great too

i dont agree with you, sony makes very good point shoot cameras but no so good slr'r

Check out Ritzcamera and dealnews.com from time to time. You'll find amazing deals. I know there are current deals for the Nikon D3000 (entry level DSLR) for around 500USD brand new.

Sony's DSLR's aren't as bad as you say... They bought out Minolta which is why the lenses are interchangeable...

So what's wrong with a vented lens?

ummm dust gets in... seizes the the blades and your screwed, or in the less dramatic situation you get dust spots on the lens.
