My 07 Yaris passenger side mirror housing is cracked and I need to find a replacement so the front plate will stay on. Dealer wants me to pay almost $300 to buy a whole new one + service , what a joke! All I need is a replacement housing!
I found some KOOL-VUE make and it clamis to be direct OEM replacement. I'm wondering if anyone have any experience on finding a stock mirror replacement? Could anyone share some light on this?

I'm just wondering if the Kool Vue ones is the same size and shape as my stock one and if my front plate from stock mirror can fit on it

It should be able to. I did one on a camry and it just needed some slight modifcation to fit the cover on. Once dont you couldnt tell it was changed. Just thier power mirrors only seem to have about 75 percent of the articulation of the oem ones. As in they dont really jmove all the way up or down but usually thats fine if you use your mirror for driving. If you use it for parking then it might not give you as good of a view.

I opened the link Redride provided and I believe the mirror housing is referenced as part number 1 in the picture. There are two options for part number 1, either w/ power (http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=getJointLocator&siteid=840&chapter=§ionids=0,2732&groupid=2740&subgroupid=3455&componentid=4496&make=34&model=Yaris&year=2007&catalogid=2&displayCatalogid=0) or w/o Power (http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=getJointLocator&siteid=840&chapter=§ionids=0,2732&groupid=2740&subgroupid=3455&componentid=4495&make=34&model=Yaris&year=2007&catalogid=2&displayCatalogid=0) Now I have two more quick questions.
1. Which one is for passenger side? Left or right?
2. Since a mirror housing w/o power is cheaper. I'm wondering if the mirror motor and the wires from my existing one would fit onto a w/o power passenger side mirror housing?
Again, thanks Redride for sharing some light. I definitely could save myself some money fixing it the DIY way.
