I need to fix a dented fender and the shop wants $700. Whats involved in removing it? Im thinking of get a fender for $180 and bolt it on myself. Do the bumpers etc have to come off? I looked at the Service Manual but it was not helpful. Wondering if anyone has any experience they can relate. Thanks!

They are very easy to remove. I took both of Crashy's mangled ones off in a matter of a couple of minutes. There are 9 bolts that hold it on. Look at page BP-140 of the collision section of the service manual.

Does the inner plastic fender have to come off too?

You have to at least pop the clips that connect it to the fender.

the hardest part is lining back up the fenders to perfection
