YEAR-END AWARDS!

ok, the mods have given approval for this provided everyone PLAYS NICE and makes NO POLITICAL REFERENCES. what i've done is come up with 10 categories for everyone to nominate a person/persons for each award.

the following 10 categories are only examples i came up with last night. feel free to add more provided everyone PLAYS NICE and makes NO POLITICAL REFERENCES. also, if people think a category is dumb(or even this entire award-idea for that matter:redface:) i will remove them. all you have to do is i copy the below text into a reply and post your nominations. the only actual 'award' to this is the recognition from your peers(i know......lame), but more importantly it gives everyone a chance to give kudos to others on the forum who have made this a more enjoyable place to visit! if you aren't comfortable nominating someone 'in the open' just shoot me a pm and i'll regularly post them!

I would suggest you leave the polls open a little longer to allow more members to see them, because of the time of the year and all. Maybe you could do 5 polls and another 5 polls rather than 1 poll a day?

nah, doesn't have to be secret but i figured in case anybody wanted to vote for themselves they can and not appear to be vain:wink: the only thing with doing it without pms is that it won't really be necessary to do the polls. in fact, if it's just easier for everyone(myself included) people can just reply to the 1st post with their nominees included. if the whole polls idea is just too confusing i can just edit the original post. it will be pretty obvious who is getting the most nominations. anyways, it's not really a contest(there's not a prize or such) - just a nice way of giving kudos to the people who give so much back to us!

i'll have to trust everyone remembers the rules as everything is going to be 'out there' i won't be able to stop any violations and the mods already have enough headaches:respekt:
