Sakura Festival Meet (NorCal)

Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Festival Meet

When: Saturday or Sunday April 10th or 11th (Tentative dates)
Saturday or Sunday April 17th or 18th (Tentative dates)

Where: JapanTown, San Francisco (at Post, Buchanan Street)

Time: TBA

Parking location: TBD/TBA

The Plan: If we find a location to park, take pics, etc...if not, park some place....walk around Japan Town during the festivities, enjoy crepes, eat at a Japanese restaurant, etc.

Thought of this, since we're all JDM whores in our cars.

Main concern to pull off this meet is....parking. I will need tomato's help on this or anyone else residing or knowledgeable about downtown SF surroundings near Japan Town....

Plus, there might be something established at this meet, if all goes accordingly ;)

I had an idea, because i saw the view from the tourist parking lots near the Golden Gate Bridge when my ex gf came here last month~...right before entering GG Bridge, we can pull up to that lot and take group photos or...go across the bridge and enter the other parking lot and take pics there, which by the way, has a gorgeous view of the bay and stuff...

my church is just 3 blocks away from Jtown, we can probably use the parking lot, ill just ask ahead of time. Im gonna go no matter what whether theres a meet or not, but depending on some variables i might not be going there for a meet ill be hanging out with someone else if you know what i mean.

If lots of people come, we'd leave our cars in the lot. I really don't want us to be driving around following one another...and def. don't want any scratches on anyone's car either!

And like tomato said, since the parade will be going on, it'd be even MORE hectic to drive around the downtown area~~

yeah, driving to SF when there is a big event is not a great idea.

we could all hang but I don't know about bringing our cars.

I will take MUNI or BART to J-Town and bring my camera.

Sorry haven't been cruising on these boards for some days...

I will be there next weekend. This weekend my schedule cluttered w/ buying airline tickets/hostel bookings, and work.

I probably won't bring my car, too much of a scare for me in getting hit or dents on the car. I will be there next Saturday after 2pm?
