i've got the same rack for my sedan and the answer is 'NO'. as long as you have the proper q-clips(which the seller is providing) no drilling is necessary. it is also very secure and with the proper attachments(i've got a cargo box) it increases the utility of our great little car!:thumbsup:

at this time it doesn't(sorry, i know the question wasn't directed at me). yakima used to make 'stretch kits' that allowed you to mount a standard rack such as this one to a two-door with the help of 'cheater feet' on the roof. it's hard to explain, but thule does make the exact same style kit with the 'cheater feet' on it, but it's a little pricey. somebody in cali has this kit for their liftback if you want to see pics.

Oh well! that cargo cage is pretty cool, would be nice on a hatch.
