remote car starter

looking to install a car starter in my other car 98 rav4
just wondering how hard it is seriously
i have all the wiring infor (wire colors and where it is)
do i just strip back a little bit of insulation and solder the wire on and shrink wrap or tape it
another question is it says tach wire, well my rav has coil packs
i believe there is 8 wires coming from them
where do i hook up?

Strip, solder, tape or use tap splices.

For the tach wire, if you have the wiring diagrams for it, you should find a tach wire going to the ECM.

Otherwise, here's a chart for the 98-00 RAV4 that says to tap the black wire on the white connector to the coil.
