$75 shipped for two sets, both 6k, one for my 08 HB and one for my buddies 06 2wd ranger.

-packaged very well, boxes inside of a box inside of a box, good covers over the bulbs and such

-instructions nearly non-existent, i think this is par for the course.

-installation is probably the same as all others, build quality is there, wires are properly covered and there is a random grommet built into the wiring harness.

-light output and color is excellent. glare shield works a bit. beam pattern is lacking, with bright spots where there wasn't any before, and a few random beam patterns. i can bring the cutoff up enough to see as well as with regular bulbs, without a glare problem with other drivers, although it's very clear that it is there.

i consider this a gateway drug to garms projector kit. two days before black friday i misplaced my c/c, otherwise i would've jumped on his deal (hint hint garm, you listening? :P maybe next year...)

for the $37 bucks it cost me, im okay with it. i wanted to try it out. i can surely offload it locally for $30 when the time comes. the projector mod is in my future, just not certain how far out, with winter solstice over the nights will begin growing shorter soon...

Definitely keep this thread updated with your experience. If they fritz out, die, anything like that.

Thanks for posting!

Do the ballasts have a small hole? This is one mark of quality.

you get what you pay for, i have no regrets. personally, i see it as a good way to try out hid's, it's one of those things that's been lurking since i got the car... always wanted to try a set. garms projector kit looks like the cats ass, but i don't have the time/space to dedicate to it right now, and im also a cheap bastard when it comes to my hobbies...

i wouldn't look to them for a permanent solution personally though, although the build quality isn't as bad as the price would suggest, eratic beam patterns and electronic "noise" are bothersome. i have a number of applications i can pass these on to when the time for projectors comes... otherwise i wouldn't've bothered...
