OK, I want to buy myself something (cause I spent a mint on the family) for Christmas. I don't want to make my YARIS faster (would have bought a 911) or prettier (would have bought a Mercedes) but want something useful with major giggle factor. What should I buy?????? :smoking:

Redo the suspension (coilovers and rear sway bar) and some nice sticky tires? Have fun tossing the car around corners

Depends on your budget. What are you looking to spend?
Buy a rear sway bar. It makes a huge difference in how the stock car drives!

+1 You cant really make the yaris faster without spending a significant amount of money. But you can make the car more fun to drive with a few simple suspention mods without breaking the bank. Rear swaybar would be a good place to start.

+ 1 rear sway bar. Should of come stock on the Yaris. Helps a little w/ gusts of wind on the highway. So do lowering springs.

I have a bar on the back and it was a very good addition and I also bought some great tires just a few months ago that surprisingly work well even though they are geared more to all season use then performance. Maybe if I do a kitty exhaust and weld big teeth to the bottom half it would fly with my friends. I was actually thinking about heading over to Cruthfield which happens to be pretty close to me and get a radio with built in XM?

traveling is a good thing...especially if you are backpacking around the globe :)
Cold Air Intake, you might not notice the difference till you hit higher speeds in lower gears...FYI~

Take adhesive velcro from Wal-Mart
Scrape the adhesive off an old GPS mount disk
Put the velcro on the disk
Put the velcro on your car (right behind the compartment behind the steering wheel is a great place)
And voila, you've got a nice GPS mount in your car and you can pull the disk mount off and replace it with a different disk mount if you ever buy a different brand GPS.
A great GPS mount is great to have in any car.. The weighted mounts that sit on your dashboard can come flying and wail you in the face if you get in a frontal crash or rollover and the suction cup mounts often fall off the windshield..
I have my suction cup mount glued (with goop) to a mount disk and then on the bottom of the mount disk, I put adhesive industrial strength velcro. I can just pull it off and put it in any car and it's a very secure mount.

A Scangauge II or an Ecometer.
be a bank breaker and buy some coilovers!
The NST short shift kit is pretty nice too. It makes the car much more fun to drive!
