Weird rattaling sound coming form the windshield?!?

Okay i have this sound thats been driving me nuts. Sounds almost like someone has a tin can with some beans in it rattling it around inside the car. first i thought it was the loose change inside my little compartment by the left. Then i thought it was from the dash. Started pressing holding and banging on everything while i was driving tryign to see if the sound would change and go away. Then really listening it sounds almost like its up top. I push against the windshield and it goes away!

Has anyone had this issue. I am guessing maybe piece of glass is broken around the molding and dropped somewhere and is rattling around or something. I cant figure it out. Might have to take it to the dealer and see if its something they might warrenty or possible have a tsb for.

The only time i hear a rattle is when i put my yaris in reverse lol.

I've heard this occasionally when I accelerate too quickly. But other than that, no.

I get that on my 08 Yaris. Issue seems to be all the plastic in the car... which doesn't cushion very well.

Smack the upper left hand corner of the dash where the plastic meets the windshield and mine went away. Only return like 2 weeks later.... then I hit it again =)

is that what the noise is????? :iono:i keep hearing something too and its on the drivers side. i thought maybe i had some change or something in my cup holder and nothing was inside of it. i closed the holder and still hear it. then i thought maybe there is like a leaf or twig stuck in my side mirror and the wind blowing is rattling it. checked outside and nothing there.it is a really faint sound and i have to have the radio off and listen for it to hear it tho

After spending all day on google i guess its a common problem with toyota. They have to remove the headliner its some problem with the clips. I really dont trust toyota messing with my car after the last incident with my water pump and window regulator but looks like i may not have a choice.

well it doesnt bother me that much but it is good to know the reason now and know that i wasnt just hearing things,lol
