Marlondog is leaving the comforts of his So.Cal hood and headed for the Norte, where everyone and their mama wears red. Any suggestions on what to do, where to visit and what not to visit and just stay the hell away from? Yall feel me?

I always liked SF. It is cool and refreshing at the wharf. The food is great and the atmosphere never changes. The cable car never gets tired. Have a great trip!!!!

The Golden Gate, Pier 39 is a must....let me know....i don't have any plans for New Years as of yet...so I'll be free~
There's an indoor rock climbing place near San Francisco if you want to do that. The Exploratorium as well~

I'm still not sure about the whole red part, either it's gang related or everyone there is a republican...

Check out the Bamboo thread, to get you started on things to see in SF.

As to what to do, well that depends on what you like.

It a gang thing, marlon likes to gangbang on the weekends...:iono:
I would hit pier 39 and have some clam chowder, union square is cool too, if you like to shop. I would recommend Alcatraz, it is cool to visit at least once. as far as nightlife you will find plenty of it in the City. and if it looks sketchy it probably IS, San Fran can get ghetto pretty quickly
Did someone say mini-meet??

Sorry to disappoint but not really. I hardly ever drive trough SF, unless I *absolutely* have to. In SF, public transportation FTW!!
We could look it up on yelp.com I guess. Usually, it's always best to drive to BART, GG Transit or whatever, and take public transportation to the city.

NO!!!!!!
I kinda set myself up for that...shit.
tomato - True that. If we can get on Embarcadero street, then we just drive through all the Piers and a parking structure should be on our right. I don't know if the rooftop is covered or open though~

I'll be down there tomorrow afternoon, but I'm gonna chill the first day. We'll be staying at Hotel Tomo, in Japan town. Maybe I can get my hands on some JDM stuff. For New Years, I'll be going to Bimbo's 365. We all can meet up on the 1st. We lovez da Spaghetto Factory, or any cheap eats place that has a nice parking lot to show off our cars and shoot the shit. Yall feel me?

Japan Town you say, my church is right next to J-Town (less than 5 minute walk). There is one car shop place in the stores there, i dont really know if its worth anything tho. There is an anime shop, a manga shop, a japanese book shop, lots of food places.

jptown is really small, you'll get around it fast, but it's conveniently located close to Geary, so you can go anywhere from there. Take the bus on Geary to go downtown or the other way, out to the avenues.
I highly recommend you leave your car some place and get a muni pass and just enjoy the city without the parking hassle. A tourist pass will also let you get on the cable car which would cost you $5 each LEG without a pass.
