Does anyone know if there is a way to lower the stock driver's seat height by removing the slider and mounting the seat directly to the floor? Obviously, I'd lose the ability to adjust the seat forward or backward.

Haven't heard anyone try that! This would take some customizing or fabricating, take a look at the angles of the brackets that bolt to the floor.
You would also have to attend to the airbag sensor that notes the position of your seat.

This spring I may start working with a local fab shop on a Yaris seat-lowering solution. I'll post if/when this happens.
In the interim, if you don't mind losing adjustability, I'd imagine you'd be able to bolt the OEM seat to the floor with a simple bracket.
get aftermarket buckets with new brackets, i believe megan makes the brackets.

I put aftermarket seats (Sparco) on the stock rails and sliders using flat metal to make brackets. All u need is a drill, hacksaw and a tape measure and it can be done. The seats sit about 3 inches lower, you could raise them up with washers, but Im 6'4, so I love sitting lower. There are some old threads on here with pics, thats where I got the idea. DO NOT get the Weapon R seat brackets!!! THEY ARE JUNK AND SIT WAY HIGHER THAN STOCK!!!:drinking:
