IM CONFUSED! JAPANESE IMPORT RECALL? HELP!

I have a Japanese spec mid 2005 Vitz / YARIS (as per pic on my avatar)
Its the first of the latest shape so comes into the years for recall according to UK spec Yaris.
Now, have the Japanese made ones potentially got the same problem/recall and if so , will Toyota UK sort it out for me ....ANYONE???:iono:

I would check the label in the door jam to see where your car was made. I'm pretty sure the ones that came straight from Japanese factories aren't affected (like our North American versions).

Read the first 3 letters/ numbers of your VIN. Anything that starts with J is Japanese made, and any numbers refer to a region in the US. And the 10th digit refers to the year (model) of the vehicle. An 8 refers to a 2008, a Y is a 2000, a T is a 1996, and an A is 2010, followed by a B for 2011, C for 2012, d for 2013, and so on.There are no O's, Q's, U's, I's, or Z's there. Also, no Zero's in that spot.
