I'm only 33 and grew up in NJ and have shoveled/plowed/ and snow blown 18 inches of partly cloudy more times then I can remember..... I never believe them.. I go with my knees, if the left one throbs and swells up we are getting something wet on the ground either snow or rain......

I don't get it =\
But I do like how your wiper blades are standing on end YAR1S, almost as if they're trying to stick up out of the snow on your hood in order to stay warm.

Actually, thats exactly what they are doing. If you leave them down on your windshield during snow they'll freeze up and get ice chunks all over them rendering them completely useless.
And i feel your pain, we just got 5 more inches on top of the 30ish or so we have accumulated since christmas.... it hasn't melted one bit yet :(

I don't mind the snow we get. However, I do mind the salt that is put on the roads. I worry about the long term effect it does to the car.

haha theres actually a funny story to go along with that.
I saw a ad on craigslist for a free "jdm" license plate, low and behold, when I got there after a hasty exchange of the tag and a thank you, I realized he gave me a H-22 tag that had a small crack.... he later told me he didnt want it because it was damaged.... I put it on there in hopes of catching up with him again, ahaha....

I get lots of funny looks
:p
and yeah put up your wiper blades so they dont ICE to your front windshield and get damaged..... everyone here does it.... much easier to scrape off the snow when your not trying to damage your wiper arms as well.

I look at weather.com, but they disappoint me every time. They say it's suppose to rain on certain days, but it doesn't, and vice-versa.

I see now. Yeah we are definitely spoiled here in California. The worst I've ever seen in my life is hail attempting to form and the rain turning to more of a slushee than really hail so I didn't know anything about this snow stuff...
