Ok, well I thought that I would be able to do this, and still think that I can, but I am running into some snags. How do I deal with the rear bumper where the licence plate curves in? See photo below. (My thoughts are to use my vinyl cutter and cut out the curve, but would that look wierd?) The other part that I am having trouble with is the top of the hatchback. How do I get the vinyl to bend around the curve without causing creases or bubbles? Again see photo below. I haven't gotten to the front bumper, but it doesn't look too difficult. Here are a couple pictures of where I am on the project, but its not looking too bad. The color scheme I have chosen for my yaris is black, yellow and white. Not for the steelers as some have suggested, but for my favorite japanese baseball team, the Hanshin Tigers. I spent last year in japan on a study abroad program and fell in love with the baseball team. I will be cutting out some logos for somewhere on the car, I havent decided yet. Any thoughts or tips on the areas that I have stated (top of the hatch and rear bumper) would be greatly appreciated?

i know, i was looking at getting some used rims and getting them powder coated or paint them myself with a yellow that matches the stripes. Im getting it tinted tomorrow morning. There is a long list of things I want go get done, but time and money stipulate when that can be done

awesome. another Louisville owner. I know a vinyl guy in crestwood that might be able to help you finish.
A heat gun and windex will help with the curves and bubbles. I have a tool that applies an even amount of pressure on the vinyl no matter what shape the surface is.

seeing this makes me want to put some vinyl stripes on my car, but I'm sure they would turn out shit...I think i would lay it out with painters tape first...

I like stripes, though I think I would like them a bit wider.

+1 and maybe apart a little wider... like the width of the license plate

Use dish soap and water mix, instead of the windex.

Gorgeous...even with the spacing that the OP has that could work out well I would think. Get someone to PS for you if you haven't already, but since you are looking for assistance on the actual laying of the vinyl you aren't looking for that type of help. Someone should chime in some more on what to suggest.
