Hey guys! Iwanted to show some of the stuff that I installed on my Yaris, here are a few pictures:
So far:
- Power windows and locks, keyless entry and remote starter alarm
- DVD/TV/MP3/MP4/USB 6.5" screen head unit and upgraded speakers
- Shark fin antenna
- TRD decals, plate frames and badges
- Weathertech wind deflectors
- Color matched mudguards
- Color matched blinker/mirrors
- Auto dimming compass/outside temperature display rear view mirror
- HID lights 6000K
- Blue Instrument panel LEDs
LOL!!!! WHAT WOULD WE DO WITHOUT E-BAY?
The only thing that I didn't have the guts to do my self were the alarm and the painting of the guards and mirror covers... Everything else was a lot of fun to do! Ahh, as you all know, pictures do no justice!

Hahaha! No bro, the engine hasn't and won't be touched... The suspension will get new springs in the near future though (Don't know which brand)... it's just a bunch of decals and badges that I thought were cool for the Yaris, since it looks kind of plain being a two door stock and all.

Sure Yamil, they are on eBay, about 3 styles, mine are the first ones:
http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&satitle=yaris+mirror ... Keep in mind that you have to bake them to take them apart so you can get them painted, they come in chrome only.

So to install the mirror covers, you take off the stock body color part and replace them with these? How much trouble were they to wire?
Mind if I copy you?

That's right, but first you have to get them color matched to your car because they only come in chrome... Not a lot of trouble to install, but you have to find the way to access the turn signal wires. I gave up looking and just did some drilling to get the wires to the side markers.
Please go ahead and copy my set up... You will love it! and I'll be glad you did! :w00t:

Thanks! The emblem is easy to find on eBay. There are two kinds, the one for the grille, which should fit your car; and the one with double tape that I used for the hatch.

I haven't looked in the manual - I'm just taking the easy way out.
How do you take the stock piece off the mirror to put that cover in it's place? Bake it too?

Violin, it is attached to the rest of the mirror assembly by tabs, you have to remove the glass and then you will have access to the inside of the assembly. Exercise patience and don't force anything. Here's a Pdf of how to remove the mirror covers:

Can you tell me where you found the auto-dimming mirror? Was it hard to install & wire up?

Did you just run a wire up to the side marker and tap into that for the signals on the mirror?

The mirror is from eBay...Not difficult to install, but you have to find a way to run the temperature sensor to the front of the car.

Right, I used the side markers as the power source for the LED mirrors.

I'm not sure about your question, but if you want to know if the mirror covers are the same for sedans and liftbacks, unfortunately no, they are shaped differently.
