What the biggest box that will fit in a 07 Yaris Sedan...I'm looking for something similiar to this design

do yourself a favor and stay away from Transmission line or horn loaded boxes. They require a lot of space, and there are easier ways to get loud. In fact, often times a simple, yet quality designed & built ported box will get louder.

I was going to say...let him do it. He'll get a hernia just trying to take it out one of these days. Poor guy.

Why would one need to get so intricate? I've installed single sealed 10"s with good power pushing them that would lift the back deck carpetting up off the frame there was so much pressure.

For example:

Clean, uncluttered, powered properly...what else can one ask for?

What are you powering said woofers with anyway?

Nice install on the amp and sub, i currently have two 12 inch Kicker cvr's but am flirting with the idea of selling them and getting some Alpine Type R's, I can push either set with the Hifonics Brutus 1600 watt, it'll do 550 rms @ 2 Ohms to each sub (1100 Watts Rms @ 2 ohms)

A lot of deadening will be good for all that power!

Not sure you factored in the power loss via heat dissipation, 'tis a biotch. I'm considering upgrading my amp because of this, not to mention I have three type rs on one bxi1208d so they're pretty damn underpowered

power loss due to heat (at the amp) is mainly only a concern when you start dropping below the rating ohm load value... The best easiest way to combat that heat, is by upgrading your electrical... bigger alt (200+amps) and make sure it is designed to output a 15volt charge instead of 14-14.4. By having a higher voltage, and more current from the alt, you reduce the amount of amperage the amp will use... Remember Amps*volts=watts... so if you have 15volts, you'll need 7% less amperage... and amperage is what causes heat.

Architect, are you running them in a sealed or ported enclosure ? And how many ohms are you running them at ? If i'm right the 12's are rated at 550 rms and come in either Dual 4 or 2 ohm voice coils

theyre in their own vented enclosures and are each Dual 2, the final load before imp rise is about 1.1ohm's says the multimeter.

yeah... that's the key... what is the load after impedance rise?

I don't remember, I haven't measured it after rise in a long time. Ill try and check today after my ride home

I'm a fan of passive radiators...saves a bit of space over the vented enclosures and looks like you have double the woofers...

Call me old school

_S7V7N_That picture with the three subs, was each sub powered by a seperate amp? Just wondering because I'm new at all this car audio stuff. Its something similar that I wanted to put in my car. Idk if its even your setup since you kinda quoted Architect.
