Door Panels?

Hi

I bought my Yaris Sedan S back in 2008 but it had no power package or anything really. So I added in power windows and I also added power locks with an alarm. Recently however, I noticed that my locks aren't working. The power locks that came with the alarm broke my car's manual locks and now the only way the car locks or unlocks is by locking/unlocking it with the alarm remote. The actual locks themselves broke off the handles and well now I can't unlock the car or lock it manually from inside. So I'm wondering if I should go get the handles and the locks replaced at my dealership or if I could even buy the whole door panels for all four doors that come with the switches for the windows and locks? Is that even possible?

I dont understand how toyota sells S package cars that have no power options. S is suposidly top of the line that has the upgraded interior and then exterior trim packages with their top of the line intergrated dash and power options.

For every other manufacture i dont know of of a S package that is a stripped down model.

Its like toyota took their base model cars that no one wanted and slapped on a kit and put a S sticker on the back and put it back on the lot and jack the price way up to entice people to buy it.

I can't see how that's possible. The locks are cable actuated, so they should be able to lock/unlock manually. Take off the door panel and see if the ball that's keeping the cable attached to the lock switch is coming off.

thats why every other corolla you see around is an s. Take honda, they have the si which comes with every option including luxury options and is only available in manual, or the rsx they have the type s which is leather and has every option available and also comes only manual. toyota is too "s" happy.

hold the phone.....my canadian RS came with everything and then some..... few options u can't even get on anything other then the RS. only options i had was colour and size of spoiler(big or bigger) i waanted the skirt but at the same time wanted to save a bit of money and dealer wouldn't allow me. even toyota.ca didn't give me options for RS

I can't see how that's possible. The locks are cable actuated, so they should be able to lock/unlock manually. Take off the door panel and see if the ball that's keeping the cable attached to the lock switch is coming off.

Its broken the thing off. Before, it would screw with the locks and the little ball on the cable kept coming off and then it broke the inside of the handle so I had to fix it with some wire and now it totally broke off that part that's missing in the picture...

I know! I was really upset that my so called "S" yaris came with nothing... The only thing it had that was different was the 60/40 folding down seats in the back and the side skirts... I had to install fogs, spoiler, get it tinted, power locks and power windows all myself...

once again...i'd hate to be the jack ass again but junk yard.... lol. ask around, i know a few junk yards that keep computer records of whats in stock and what a few other places have in stock and can order u a new-used part. i'd off to give u a hand but being in canada ure better off buying a new part then getting it used and paying for shipping
