It may be free to be a member, but it is privately owned. Therefore any claims to free speech are not valid. The owner of an internet forum has control over the content, for better or worse.

However, a very clear set of guidelines would prevent bad feelings from coming up in the first place.

OK, I was trying to keep it light in here but
+1 on both counts.

This is a privately owned forum and some rules do apply.

At times, the mods will have to say things or do things you may not like (for example, we ask that you don't post soft porn in your sigs so that people who search the forum for car parts or information or for legit reasons don't get ahem.. "distracted" or worse :eek:). :smile:

As a general rule, if you're not sure something is OK to post, just remember this: this forum is a very, very large virtual Yaris meet, with people you don't know, from various backgrounds, age groups, faiths, countries, even. So for example, don't assume that because something is funny to you and your close friends, it's gonna be funny to everybody else as well. If you wouldn't say something to these people's faces in person, then don't post it. I guess that would be the common sense rule and the most important of all.

If you want to post something that is NSFW, then I suggest you go to the NSFW social forum. Even there, though, be reasonable and don't post something that's illegal in most states, and I don't just mean Utah :smile:

One more thing that's always worth repeating: only registered vendors are allowed to advertise on here. If you want to advertise, PM the admins or the mods, who will pass it on to the admins. Otherwise, don't, because it's not fair to the registered vendors to let other people do it for free when they can't, and if you still do it even though we asked you not to, we'll deal with it same as we do with spammers, enuff said.

Lastly, if you want to bully other members because you think you're hot shit and everybody else should kiss your shoes, don't bother.

What else can I say, just use common sense and enjoy yourself :headbang:
