I think you're gonna need $3K easy. Good luck on trying to find something safe and reliable under that.

Sorry ice, it's just not going to happen for that. The more you read on here about turbocharging the Yaris, the more you'll come to understand that point of view.

UNLESS, you are both knowledgable AND can fabricate parts yourself, that is a different story.

you need money for the kit and tune and ecu's and such. Its gonna be expensive but you can piece together your own kit cuz then its smaller amounts of money with longer time in between.

you need to quit sitting in front of the computer and start taking apart your car. . that's how DIY's work, you actually have to DO the work. .. . the internet can't build it for you.

if you actually CAN fabricate, you wouldn't be asking these questions.. there is no drawing for any parts for the yaris, no retrofits, etc. this isn't a honda civic, 700 isn't gonna get you safe boost.

Garm,
Have you ever considered putting together a "bolt-on" turbo kit for the Yaris?

cali yaris

^ development is in process. The exhaust manifolds are done (with and without a wastegate flange), doing downpipes now, and we are a Garrett dealer (GT2554 is the turbo that would come with my kit).

garm its gonna be like a big power kit tho right

cali yaris

No. The first thing I want to make is a 6 psi Stage 0 kit that is very simple, makes decent power (140whp or more), and doesn't require management or wiring.

Will it fit the Canadian 2004 ECHO HB ???

A TURBO KIT!

Think like this:

turbo - $950
turbo manifold -$600
piping w/ ebay intercooler - $600
other - $500-$1000

and that's for a stage 1 kit, just on parts

HKS kit is $2600 shipped + piping & intercooler $600 w/ ebay intercooler

cali yaris

^ management? tuning?

RacerFreakXXX
03-11-2010, 05:29 PM
add $500 for basic ems and $500 for basic tuning, lol ... but the hks comes with that stuff, you just need to tune... that'll be my road unless you come up with something better

Cali - The kit you are building..does it require trimming the crash bar?

cali yaris
03-12-2010, 09:10 AM
why would it require that? :iono:

Tamago
03-12-2010, 09:49 AM
if you put a big front mount on it.. which as we know is overkill for 6psi
