Anyone had the feeling or experience someone in front of you on the phone or just blocking your way and you horn sounds like a babies sqeek toy?
Many times I have been so fustrated with these ID10t's and want some thing they can remember by. I found on you tube many funny horns but not practical. I need options and recommendations on some thing I can get locally or good options and DIY how to install them, anyone want to have a Blast?

You can find the genuine Toyota dual horn upgrade on eBay. About $70.00 and comes with the factory wiring harness so it's bolt, plug and play.
I've considered this alternative.
As mentioned above, Hella also has dual horn offerings but you'd be on your own as far as installation goes. Likely not too difficult though if you're not afraid to dive in.

I added a set of Airhorns to mine. Air pump is wired to the battery (fused) operated by a relay off the the original horn wire. The "trumpets" are mounted beside the rad vertically.

I think the hella supertones are the same dinky sound, just louder. Kind of pointless imo. I'd go with something like a Tundra horn or something from a Lexus. Deeper and actually more "horn" like.
I'm having my dealer look if they have any spare horns laying around they can toss my way. The only problem is that to get to the horn on a Yaris, you have to take the bumper off... Or at least that's what it looks like from first glance. Correct me if I'm off base.

I purchased the PIAA horn 400hz/500hz sports horn.
There are two versions: a 400/500hz horn and 500/600hz horn.
You can find out how they sound by going to YouTube.
The 400hz/500hz horn is the same as the Toyota version - see this link for a sound sample (http://toyota.jp/dop/recommend/premiumhorn/index.html).
The link is in Japanese but you'll know where to click. The one on the left is the sports horn, right is the OEM.
It may not necessarily be louder but definitely better than the original.
Yes, you'll have to remove the bumper to install.
You can remove the top fasteners and tilt the bumper cover forward, but it's a hassle.

Hmm, yes I like the left one better. That sounds like the kind of horn I'd want.

Yeah, see... driving around in even suburban Toronto where there are pedestrians almost everywhere, a horn that loud would just have me be the target of death stares. Lower frequency sound would be more effective, I'd think.

If you want "louder" on a budget...go to your favorite auto parts store and pick up a low-tone Highway Blaster (about $15) and run it in-line with your stock horn. The 2 horns together will produce an interesting tone...and will be much louder than the stock horn by itself.

Hello fellow Canadians.
I live in the Detroit area now, but I'm from Dundas.
Anyways, if you haven't found this already, here's a link to the DIY section about installing a Stebel Nautilus horn:
http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9423
It's 139 dB! :eyebulge: Much louder than most of the Hella, Fiamm, etc. out there.
Here you can get them at O'Reilly Auto Parts for $52 in store, but in Canada you may need to check the internet to get one.
Lots of videos of this horn on YouTube if you want to hear it.

I'm very pleased with Hella Twins, a very elegant tone, very loud :eyebulge: compare to OEM, but I really got them because how they look.

^ Funny shit. Train horns are so great.
I'd love to have some kind of dual system where I could have like an OOGA horn just to "nudge" people who aren't paying attention, and a train horn to induce bowel loosening or heart attacks in stupid motherfuckers who are on the cell, or cut me off, or have red and/or blue colored lights mounted on the roof of their vehicle.
