Hi Guys,

I'm a newbie so I'm probably asking a really stupid question.

The CD/MP3/RADIO player in my 2005 Yaris YR (Australian model) has finally given up the ghost. Just says Error 1 everytime I try to play a CD.

So I went out and bought a nice Pioneer unit to replace it.

Basically I pulled away the plastic panelling and unmounted the current unit which was pretty easy. However I discovered the wiring for the OEM unit is completely different to what the pioneer unit wants. The pioneer unit came with wiring in case of this but the problem is I have no idea what the Yaris wires do. I need some sort of wiring diagram to figure it out.

Does anyone know where I might find a wiring diagramme for this unit?

Also when I put the factory OEM unit back in of course it activated the SEC security code which I have no idea where it is. Any ideas on this too?

Many thanks...Tim.

I worked out my Security Code - last three digits of my VIN number :-) Score.

Also I fixed my stereo - as it now works. It look like it just needed power reboot and a shake.

Would still like to know how to wire in a non-factory unit.

Tim.

Please try to post your threads in the correct thread section. It's getting old moving all the stuff from the "general discussion" when this was audio related. I've moved it to the proper sections
