You can download and play for free if you have a battlenet account. Only can play multiplayer online though cause still in beta.

wow havent played SC in AAAAAAAAGES... ive got bnet since im on wow still... maybe i should retry it.

wait, ive been looking around, and says you need the beta key. is that right?

Yeah you have to sign up. If you ahve a battlenet account you have to link it to any blizzard game account like wow, warcraft, diablo, starcraft 1 etc and then you can sign up for beta. Then they email you the key to play.

Its pretty much identical in every single way to sc1 but there are like 2 new characters for every race lol. Thats pretty much it. Even the graphics are the same.

the graphics are definately improved. Also, your information is misleading. I can't find anywhere to sign up for the BETA, and even if i could, there is not a guaruntee that I would be emailed a access key. Only 20,000 have been sent out so far.

If you go to battle.net you have to create a account if you dont already have one. And then you just have to link whatever games to the account first. Then there is a place on there when you can sign up for beta. I got a email the next day for beta.
