Short Squeek From Rear Brakes

Hi,

When in gear and holding the brakes, when the brake pedal is released a short squeeking sound occurs.

The squeek dosent occur until the high point of the pedal (just before my foot comes off) it also only occus when I am in gear, not when in neutral.

From the sounds of it, it sounds to be coming from the rear.

The brakes were serviced not to long ago so I dont think it's the pads.

Anyone come across this problem?
Any suggestions, ideas that I can do before taking it to Toyota?

not sure but mine has the same squeak. I would not waste time at dealer with that.

Probably backing plate needs to be lubed. Or a return spring is weak. Or just the drum is full of dust. Maybe try taking it apart cleaning the dust and adjusting the brakes first and see if that takes care of it.
