Just so the PNW is not rated "totally pathetic", I will comment on your post.

Checked-out Michael's Toyota website.

There is definitely a difference between Bellevue, WA and Vancouver, WA.

Their showroom looks just like lobby of the new Vancouver Hilton Hotel!!! (...and I am not kidding.)

Our local dealer is McCord's Vancouver Toyota/Scion and they have been really great to deal with so far - we bought two new Toyota's early this year. However, the dealership is small, on a hilly 3-level lot and clean, but far from new. They do however do a very effecient of getting oil change cutomers in and out quickly.

We dealt with the Fleet Mgr (Mike Furey) on the COSTCO auto purchase program and had a positive experience. He was great at going on the system and finding what we wanted, both times.

Have not seen but about 4-5 other Yaris' on the road here and in Portland. May be why there is so little PNW participation. My sister is in line for a new loaded LB right now - she is supposed to be near the top of the list - so maybe there will be another one soon.

Purchase of 2007 Yaris from Michaels Toyota was a positive experience. Used Costco referral, but the guy called me back and offered an even better deal. NO pressure at all from the finance manager to purchase extended warranty, etc. That was amazing! Salesperson who closed the deal was a fox!

I have not used the service department, and will probably not after the 3 free oil changes unless I have a warranty issue. I called to get a quote to install cruise control. They didn't return my call for a day and 1/2, and then quoted $650 plus tax, leave the car all day. They would give me a free loaner. From what I have read on the forums, the Rostra kit retails for $250, and takes 1.2 to 1.5 hours to install. Others have been quoted around $400 installed. I would go for $4oo, but $650 seem outrageous. Guess they have to pay for that "Lexus" showroom somehow.

tried to order a Yaris HB from michaels back in august and the sales man kepted trying to make me buy a auto black Sedan when i kept telling him repeatedly that i wanted a blazing blue manual HB, so we just left pissed and went to Toyota of Kirkland. Real shitty service in my opinion because i wanted to buy one there cause I buy parts for my AE86 there all the time, and at one point i knew most of the service department.

ended up with a nice little Blazing blue HB from Kirkland

It was a 3 1/2 visit but, extremly happy with the dealer and the Yaris. I would recommend Michaels for your next Toyota purchase. I used them twice.

Hey Mr Mechanic,

Question: Why is the RPM idle not even. It's not a smooth idle. You must get this question more often? Any thoughts?

Thanks
Ron

Hi Greg,

I'm not worried about the idle problem but, I'm not used to this problem driving a Toyota. It's sometimes annoying driving away in 1st gear.

Thanks for your help,

Ron.
