Two questions - what does the stock 15" steelie weigh? and what happens if the alloy wheel doesn't accept the tpms?

OK based on what I could find, the the stock alloy rims with tires weigh 34 lbs (http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showpost.php?p=211422&postcount=12).
As far as the TPMS issue, check out this thread (http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16367&highlight=TPMS+bypass) and go from there.

HTH

That post states that the stock steelies weigh ~34lbs with tires.

The stock alloy rims with tires weight 34 lbs, so my weight increase is 28%.

Unless that's referring to stock aluminum wheels, but it sounds too heavy for that...

My stock steelies weighed 15.35 lbs alone and 16.25 lbs with the hubcap.

My stock Goodyear Eagle LS tires weighed 17.05 lbs.

As for the TPWS question, you can bypass the TPWS system to keep the light from driving you nuts:
