how much fabrication did it take to get those headlights in? or were they a bolt in?

one word: woah!

Something definitely different there!

Ok that answers the question if they are bolt in or not... I am wondering the fab difficulty and time it took.... because those lamps look sick

Compared to the other wide body kit (arto), I prefer the rounded extended fenders, but the rear bumper on this one is horrid.

I'd like to see a wide kit based on the Modellista front bumper, that would look pretty badass!

Naaah Japan would still be the place to be for all the cool stuff... If we had more Japanese members here showing off their rides we would all be eclipsed by the wave of coolness from the rising sun

What Thailand has a lot of, though, is a crazy modding mentality and taste, I love it here

Just curious why some 'widebody' kits have those god awful protrusions while some (supra widebody for example) have extremely nice, blended in fenders. Mind you one is a lot more work than the other but since the Yaris in this thread has had its lights replaced its not like its direct bolt on either.

so it' a c-obe with a custom wide body??? I don't think I like it, although I'd love to put a wide body on the yaris. Maybe f the front and rear bumpers woren't hiddious then it would look .nice

Special 9-piece Y-version wide body kit exclusive to Thailand, if I am not mistaken. Price is around US$1700 BUT there should be additional costs (center exhaust, for example), and shipping to the US would be an absolute ripoff!

Personally I'm on the fence about this bodykit... The fenders are too square, it does not really fit with the lines of the car... and there's not that much exra width too...

ChinoCharles
11-21-2006, 12:52 AM
I said it when I first saw it... in my opinion the nicest looking kit for the Yaris, and also probably the hardest to get.

So many kits for this car have a center exhaust I'm conforming. The headers will be in the mail soon and the muffler will be under the tree, then its time to start bending.

that is what a widebody should look like

ChinoCharles
11-23-2006, 10:31 PM
And notice, yet another beautiful kit for the Yaris that would require a center-mount exhaust...

bigsky2
11-23-2006, 11:08 PM
Yeah that white dress up Yaris with the work wheels has a nice kit.
Really pimp.

I just wonder if the lines are noticeable if the colour was not white..

Here it is in red:

http://www.grandprixgroup.com/new/magazine/tunedby/detail.asp?Detail_Id=2947&Column_Name=Dress%20Up%20Tuned%20By

Looks good, but I presonally think the rear fenders are too square, they should have blended them in better :frown:

ItsMyDaily
11-24-2006, 09:52 AM
wow you can see the lines better on the red one. I agree it would look better if the fenders were not too square, but I still think it looks amazing either way. Man now only to figure out how to get one to the states.

I see my suspension under the red one.

Saw the white wide-bodied one on the road today near my place... pretty damn nice in person! A little chubby maybe, and I still don't like the rear fenders, but maybe a fiberglass shop can make a few mods...

I'm of distant European extraction, so the DTM style does it for me. The wife unit would destroy it on the first gutter she got near though, so not an option!

eTiMaGo
02-18-2007, 02:51 AM
yeah, quite common here, I am surprised it's not offered in the states... personally I don't like it so much...

we also have a kind of light brownish orange, but that's not so attractive, nowhere as nice as the metallic orange you guys get.

Damn, thats a bit much. But props for goin all out and reppin the Yaris over there. The kit does have a DTM vibe.

I actually saw that weird widebodied one on the road today, in light metallic blue (most likely the same one which was posted in the previous page)

It just does look awesome to see such a wide (and I mean WIDE, pictures do not do it justice) and squat Yaris, but that Ferrari-wannabe rear bumper is just fugly. From the front and side as it drove by, though,

Here's an article about it in a local modifying mag...

i like the headlights....

Razr
02-26-2007, 10:20 PM
Yeah the Toyota Wish headlights look great, albiet a little Jazz/Fit'ish..

I'm also not liking the rear bumper so much - no-one's gonna buy that it needs 4 tailpipes. Sidepipes would be cool though :)

eTiMaGo
02-27-2007, 04:45 AM
yeah, at least they should put in some fake exhaust pipes, they just leave the hole there and you can see the wheel through it, it's ridiculous

hasher22
02-27-2007, 04:50 AM
omg get that ugly spoiler off

ASHRAF
03-14-2007, 11:07 AM
that is really different

I like the arto kit, but it will look ugly on a 3-dr Yaris because the rear fender will be far away from the door (I think so)

the first yellow yaris looks awesome (without the back bumper & the yellow color)

I badly wanna get a kit but the shipping is a rippppofff!!!

here in Australia, we got a good looking custom kit, but the price is US$2300 without the exhaust

untill the I got a good deal on a good body kit, Let's say "no for body kits"
