after a string of mechanical crap that now includes oil slinging ,I want to get rid of my 07 Yaris hatch. Bayou blue. The body is perfect. no other troubles. Trans ,standard is perfect.
Assume it needs basic overhaul....
whats it worth as is and where would you advertise it?... its in Montana. Would rather sell as whole.

Aren't these two statements mutually exclusive?

Autotrader/Ebay/Craigslist for sale, or just trade it in on whatever you are going to get to replace it might be the better bet, rather than explaining all of that crap to a private buyer. As for value, KBB and NADA will give you the highmark...go down from there with the economy. You can search completed sales on Ebay to get an idea of what they have been selling for. GLWS

Craigslist is a good place to start. It won't cost anything to try. As for what it is worth is another question.
