Hey everyone,

taking a break from the MR2 and investing some time/money in the Yaris, been looking everywhere for a cheap short ram intake for the little bugger so that I could make some noise but haven't had any luck on any used parts. That said, I turned to ebay. I found a relatively cheap cold air intake on ebay for about $60 shipped from Insys-USA. Was curious if anyone on here purchased one, looks like an AEM knock off but I was curious about fitment. The seller has pretty good feedback at 99.8% and seems to be pretty fast on the replies. Now before anyone says its a piece of trash and that I should spend the money on something name brand, I would because I like the AFE intake a lot but its just out of my budget. I also can't justify paying $100+ dollars on a piece of shiny aluminum pipe that's going to give me virtually no extra power (That extra money could go towards the race car!). If nobody's bought one I guess I'll be the guinea pig and let you guys know how it fits/sounds, looks like it'll fit okay though but I can't really say for sure; if not, I'll make shit work. Cheers :drinking:

Dude you are the man! I've been having trouble seeing it but, where exactly does the filter sit? Is it under the headlight? I have an issue with water getting everywhere in my engine bay when it rains so I want to make sure its in one of the few dry spots in my bay. Nice car by the way, looks clean!

It a little difficult because you need to remove the plastic fender cover behind the wheel for put the filter.

In the attachtment are the installation instructions. Its from the Aem intake but its the same that the ebay one:thumbsup:

Thanks for the input silveryaris, I'm feeling a little safer now in terms of the fitment now. The only thing that's worrying me at this point is whether or not the sales transaction goes smoothly lol.

Let us know how it goes. I might order one soon. I have been doing some research on the interweb and it looks like the filter is the only thing people don't like about this intake. You can buy an AEM Dryflow filter for $40 and still have $100 in the whole setup.

I'll report back once I get it and try to do a mini write-up/review on my blog. I'm actually not too worried about the filter as I have a ton of them laying around my garage that were left over from previous projects. I'm really just buying this for the shiny pipe with that oh so special flange for the MAF.
