i emailed pedders for their price on both Front and Rear Spings and whats the drop measurement. Im lookin for about 1.8" - 2" drop on my yaris. I am buying 17" rims with the chrome part painted white.

The only real leeway you have with license plates here is in the numbers, there are many places that have fancier number combinations for sale, at pretty crazy prices (1111 or 7777 for example), but a simpler combination like 1818 or 3773 is cheaper. I would have liked 1337 , but that's not for sale anywhere :iono:

The tail lights were about AUD350, the bumper (plus the fog lights and license plate lights) was about 300.

There is a special wide body kit which I am planning to get, as far as I know it is specially made for Thailand only. Just check the second page in my cardomain page for more info :wink: It's a 9-piece kit and costs about AUD2,300 including the center exhaust, which is a lot of money, but not bad for such an extensive package.

What I meant was: if you are moving permanently to SA or NSW from another state, your current plates (and license) would only be valid for 3 months. You'd have to convert them to your new state's plates and license.

It should not be the case if you're only visiting, as you will return to your home state after your visit.

These rules are lenient, I guess, because I haven't heard of anyone getting a ticket for not registering their cars in the state they are living in for x number of months.

some ideas that ive had are. since i got a YRS. i just thought up YRS70Y, YR57OY or get your TRDTOY but with TRD70Y.
im sure it would be cheaper and since were all strapped for cash. itll help you in the long run.

it took me ages to figure out what i wanted and some people pronounce it wrong. but i dont mind. if its what you want.. then get it.. its yours and your the one paying for it.. correct?

Hey all, Im new to the forums. I recently bought a 3door Yaris YRX. It wont stay stock for long... muahahaha

I got a custom muffler and 17x7.0 ANZ Voltech Shadow rims.
I already ordered a new Headunit from Pioneer. It's iPod compatible (cant remember the model, will post a picture later). Along with that I also ordered 2 12 inch subwoofers along with a 4 channel amplifier. Still saving up for the front speakers and rear speakers though.

Other plans I have with the poor little machine is to install Bride sports seats, maybe a Sparco steering wheel (the dealer said that since I have the SRS airbag in my stock steering wheel and therefore my display will go crazy), and also trimming the interior with black/blue leather.
I also want to lower my ride, but the lowest I can go is another 30mm (which is still kind of high, still leaves a gap). And it costs around 550 AUD to lower it 30mm (yikes...).
I want to get a better body kit as well, and another spoiler (cause mine is so small ...).

Anyway here are some pictures of my ride, I will post more pictures on wednesday (thats when I get my new headunit and subwoofers!)

If your gettin the c-one kit.....then the front piece is the easiest to install, its just a direct replacement. If your gonna get like the gialla kit or "add ons" to the stocked kit then u have to drill holes...... :)

Theres a tutorial on here how to remove the back bumper and that should be a direct replacement for the c-one......

sideskirts, i have no experience in that, but i think my bro's friend drilled more holes to fit it in.....


Btw if ashraf gets ur spoiler dont be surprised if he doesnt recieve it in the mail.... ;) thats if ur gonna replace ur spoiler...

tanabe df's on ebay is the BEST price on the net for AUSSIE BUYERS, i have contacted about 10 Suppliers around the world (mostly in america) and they are selling the tanabe df's for 130USD - 200USD + shipping is more than 120USD+

Ebay is selling the tanabe df's for $110USD and shipping is $100USD......so the best thing is to buy from ebay.....

from what ive seen

p.s someone in ozecho.com.au can get the tanabe df's....but he quoted me $450!!! AU dollars

I have rang / email prob 10 + suppliers and they ALL said;

1- They CANNOT COMBINE shipping if your buying springs + Other items
2- You have to pay SEPERATE SHIPPING for items you want

4- Australia has a maxium weight policy (dont know why the fook for)
5- If they DO combine the items together then the shipping rate will be over 300USD

I know a couple of people that are using KingSprings and they have had no problems. I have heard similar things with Peddars suspension, so im guessing that its personal preference, and how much you have to spend.

I'm planning to get Fusions ~

I was going to get an Italian brand called - Hertz ~ However....they are so expensive ~ So I decided to go back to cheap yet good brands ~

I want a "natural" sound from the speakers.....and BASS without a sub ~ I need the boot space so sub is out of the question ~

Any suggestions besides Fusion? I've played with Panasonic before.....not bad ~

With a bit of my help jaspie, if you want your speakers to sound sharp and have lots of bass you will obviously need an amp.

4 speakers = 4 chan amp

on my GLi,
the factory setting is only 4 tweeter and 4 of those 6.5". 1 set each door(it's a 4 door car).
but the sound, is so damn good. lots of bass...and highs.
People who sit inside and listen..
they thought i have a sub, but actually it's only those speakers plus a small Amp.

my point is,
no need to upgrade to 6x9...with just 6.5" and a good amp, that should be more than enough.

ohh..btw, the brand that those German people put as stock audio system in my GLi is Monsoon..:thumbup:

Hey all, Im new to the forums. I recently bought a 3door Yaris YRX. It wont stay stock for long... muahahaha

I got a custom muffler and 17x7.0 ANZ Voltech Shadow rims.
I already ordered a new Headunit from Pioneer. It's iPod compatible (cant remember the model, will post a picture later). Along with that I also ordered 2 12 inch subwoofers along with a 4 channel amplifier. Still saving up for the front speakers and rear speakers though.

Other plans I have with the poor little machine is to install Bride sports seats, maybe a Sparco steering wheel (the dealer said that since I have the SRS airbag in my stock steering wheel and therefore my display will go crazy), and also trimming the interior with black/blue leather.
I also want to lower my ride, but the lowest I can go is another 30mm (which is still kind of high, still leaves a gap). And it costs around 550 AUD to lower it 30mm (yikes...).
I want to get a better body kit as well, and another spoiler (cause mine is so small ...).

Anyway here are some pictures of my ride, I will post more pictures on wednesday (thats when I get my new headunit and subwoofers!)

If you want the best of both worlds, go the hid.
Have a look at the oz mazda forum(http://www.ozmazdaclub.com/), guy there (malebastard) sells a kit (gt-hid) for about $450. (group buy on at the moment for 350-400 depending on numbers)
BUT, they are illegal (as are all hid kits) unless you fit headlight leveling and washer systems.
Although as far I can tell no ones been done for them.
If you've got a 'projector' style light (as the 3 does) then it won't stand out as much.

I only got mine a couple aweeks ago . I went to a exhaust place to get a exhaust but told me that I couldnt have one I just laughed:thumbdown:.So im a little confused on what to get, I just want somthing with a deeper note .
I had a echo which had a exhaust done and I wasnt realy happy with that either. Anyone have any ideas for me?
Also Im going to order those rear taillights with the LED in it.
I lowered the car with king springs and the wheels are speedy lite-fin 16x6 using Dunlop lemans702 205/45r16 rubber.

It's still a working projectt fire, so i paid a deposit of $500 AUD and once the whole project is complete I will pay the rest of around $600 AUD. xD

H11 thats the size... can take H9 too but their are i think 90W instead of H11 55Ws... bloody expensive to get replacement bulbs for H11 other than 3200k - 3500k...

Why original...? Is it new or 2nd hand? For 15s you can get them cheaper from eg Jax, Bob Jane etc...

Jax now is got a special 15s tyre package for $699 all up... mind u the tyres might be shite though...

Because cheap heavy wheels slows the car down and also ruins fuel economy. In the first week I've taken my 16" off and put on the 15" stocky alloys (about 0.5kg difference without tyres on each wheel), I've saved 0.5L/100km (from 7 to 6.5L/100km) and did feel the car to be more responsive in a straight line though of course I can't lean on the car into a corner as hard as I could with the wider 16" wheels.

I will continue to monitor the fuel situation though to see if it is really really true but first indications look promising.
