I'm starting to notice my key is starting to not open the doors on my 08 sedan until i'm standing right beside it,when i bought the car i could lock or unlock or activate the horn from several hundred feet,I'm assuming i need a new battery in the key and if so what kind of battery would i be needing.

I have an after market system and can't say what your exact size would be. However ebay is a real cheap place to buy a replacement battery.

just see how it comes apart, most likely a screw in the back, but I have never seen one.
there will be numbers on the top of the battery you can use to find a replacement. I got one for someone else and it was like 2 dollars no shipping on amazon

lolz this may sound funny to you but it works..my battery is 3 years old got it since i got the car and use the car everyday..longer range try putting your remote under your chin. then press ofcourse...i tested it and its 90 % accurate that it gives you more range... try it no joke.

just head over the radio shack... they have tons of different battery types, and they will probably open the thing up for you and install the battery right in front of you for free.

Check out page 17 & 18 of the 2007 owner's manual, as it shows how to
replace the battery. They state it is a CR2016 Lithium battery.

I do this sometimes when im trying to find my car in the parking lot it really amplifys the range. Something about turning your body into a human antenna booster.
