My VVTI is acting up - not giving me that nice turbo like midrange boost it used to do. IIR there is a spool valve for the vvti on the head and maybe a filter screen in front of it that gets clogged? Anyone mess with this and did you see a clogged screen? I think there was a thread on this but I cant get it.

I found this thread, but I remember somthing about a oil screen in there. How do you get the screen out? Fishook it?

If you have no check engine light i would leave things be. Your car is still new. If you feel the car is not acting like it should its under warrenty anyways. You might try to do a fuel system cleaning/intake decarbonizing. That will help significantly if you do a lot of short trip driving.

The car gets driven pretty aggressively and wailed on on the highway. I didnt do the exhaust replacement TSB either. I wonder if the front exhaust pipe collapsed internally ( I guess the reason for the tsb). Its just getting down on power.
