I am in Houston.

I need a bit of help with some pretty easy body work. I also need some help if anyone knows Ford V-8s. I got a car stuck at a friends house, and I can't get the thing started. I think its the distributor but I am not 100% sure. Any help is appreciated, and I reciprocate.

Thanks for the reply, and I need a Flux too lemme know where u find it.

Well the 'stang is an 1985 5.0 GT Convertible. I am getting spark off the coil, but after that I am lost. I am totally new to EFI, I used to own the exact same engine but it was carb'ed. (10yrs ago)

i assume battery is good?
you have the spark and air only thing left is fuel, is the pump whining?

this may take awhile to figure out since our cars are 20something years old but if youre not already on MF or allfordsmustang they have a TON of knowledge.

have you ran codes on it? if not you can do it at home.
Self test (http://fordfuelinjection.com/?p=13)
if you pull any codes that will provide a better platform to solve the problem rather than shooting in the dark.

No, I haven't dont have a reader, I will have to give that a try. Problem is its not at home. It is about 30min away in a parking lot. If I can get wifi out there I will try to do that. No printer :( If someone has a code reader in Houston near me, that would rock if they would let me use it.... wink.

were there any problems leading up to it or was there any thing you worked on recently?

Oh well, I will just have it towed and work on it at home. Easier that way.
